*Mud Puddle”

Keri had accepted a strange case, well actually all her cases are strange…otherwise she wouldn’t take them…

The case she took was in a small Midwest city…the family of a young man, that had died mysteriously in 1999…

He and his girlfriend had been found dead in his car, behind some bleachers at an abandoned football field…

They had died without a mark on them, no drugs in their bodies had been found during the autopsies…

When Keri visited the family for the first time, it was clear the family had a fear of something or someone…the young man had an odd name…Puddle, it was obviously a nickname…but his family still referred to him by using this name…

Puddles remaining family in 2019 was his Father, a sister that married, but returned home a few years ago, with her 12 year old son…Skip…also present was an elderly great aunt…

The great aunt was the most mysterious…she sat in the corner…in a rocker… mumbling something softly to herself…most people would not understand what the old lady was mumbling…but Keri did…

After talking for a while…the room seemed to darken…this alarmed the family…Keri noticed the change, but she kept the Disturbance to herself…she was a professional…and she needed to appear so, for this scared family…

That’s when the old great aunt’s face changed…it darkened…the room grew quiet…

The old lady suddenly rose up from here chair…she was pointing at Keri…her face was contorted…then she spoke…

“Leave Here…The Boy Will Be Mine”

Then the old lady suddenly started coming across the room towards Keri… instantly Keri was on her feet…

But the old lady stopped abruptly, her face was a mixture of pure pain, and confusion…

Then Keri immediately saw her canine friend at her feet…Rover her ghost dog protector… always near by when she was in distress…

The old lady hissed at Rover…then Keri saw Misty step in front of her…the old lady immediately stepped back…

The old ladies eyes grew wide…then the old lady said something in an ancient dialect…

The old lady suddenly passed out…

Then Keri saw Skip, the 14 year old nephew of Puddle…run out the front door…

Immediately she saw Rover disappear…deep down she knew Rover was gonna follow the boy, and protect till she found him…

Keri immediately helped the family get the old lady into their car, they took off immediately heading to the hospital…

Keri got in her jeep, she immediately noticed Misty sitting in the front passenger seat…

As Keri was backing out of the driveway, she could see a form, in an upstairs window…it’s eyes were twinkling…

On the way to the hospital…Keri noticed a tear on Misty’s cheek… without turning her head…Misty spoke…

“The Old Lady Said These Words In The Ancient Dialect…

“I Will Kill Your Living Friend…Then I Will Lock Her Soul In Total Darkness”

Then Misty Vanished…

Keri shuddered at this thought…

Then she thought to herself…

Where Is Paul??? Her Other Ghostly Protector…

One of the most Haunted Cemeteries in the United States

Has only 82 plots, but that certainly hasn’t stopped it from becoming one of the most haunted cemeteries in the United States.

Established in 1840, the small area surrounding the cemetery was soon abandoned by the English homesteaders who relocated from Chicago to New England, leaving the graves behind. Originally named the Everdon Cemetery, the property belonged to Samuel Everdon, and even though there is 82 plots many of them were left unused. During the 1920’s, 1930’s Bachelor Grove was rumored to had been infamous dumping grounds for Chicago’s organized crime families. It was so isolated lagoon near the back of the abandon Cemetery that supposedly drew the mob’s attention. According to Legend it soon became the perfect place to fit hitmen, snitches, and people owning money with a pair of concrete permanent concrete shoes. Bachelor Grove is the most famous for the ghosts stories that surround the plot of land at the end of the long gravel road. One of the most famous images of a spirit was captured at the cemetery the “lady in white” or Madonna of Bachelor’s Grove is rumored to be the spirit of a woman who is buried next to her child. Often times she is seen wondering the cemetery with her holding her baby in her arms.

Lady in white is of course just one of many ghostly things eyewitnesses have seen at Bachelor’s Grove have come across an phantom farmhouse. The house appears as a picturesque white farmhouse in perfect condition before disappearing completely before your eyes. In 1870 a farmer died after he and his horse plowed to close to the Water’s edge. They both been spotted in spirit form years to come, continuing to plow the area of the lagoon. To this day, only when you call out to him he dissipates into nothing. Many paranormal experiences at Bachelor’s Grove peaked in the 1970’s-1980’s, people reported in 1984 reported seeing the ghostly of a monk walking slowly across the cemetery towards the road.

There is still reports of people seeing orbs of light, strange shadows, and the sound of arguing voices coming from the lagoon.
Bachelor’s Grove Cemetery is a classic haunting and an iconic part of Chicago’s land history.
